Fan & Critic Buzz

Critic Reception — summarized from Wikipedia

Jigarthanda received generally positive reviews from critics, with many praising director Karthik Subbaraj's unique blend of genres and his ability to balance humor and drama. Some reviewers noted that the film's cultural specificity may limit its appeal to non-Tamil audiences, but overall, the consensus was that Jigarthanda is a singular and accomplished film. The critical reception suggests a strong split between those who found the film's twists and turns engaging and those who felt it struggled to cohere as two distinct genres.
