A convicted murderer who was previously jailed for 20 years in France for killing his millionaire fiancée has been sentenced to five more years in prison after a "degrading" attack on his elderly father, Bernard Griffin. The 57-year-old Ian Griffin was found with serious facial injuries at his parents' home in Winwick, Warrington, and had previously served only 22 months of his sentence before being released in 2016 due to medical grounds.
