Karthik, a mechanical engineering graduate with filmmaking ambitions, falls for Jessie, the daughter of a conservative Syrian Catholic family from Kerala. Despite initial rejections due to their different backgrounds and age difference, Karthik remains convinced of her love. Their secret relationship is eventually exposed when an altercation breaks out between Karthik and Jessie's brother, leading to her parents arranging a marriage against her will.
