In 1999, a young cop named Arivu joins a police training school in Tamil Nadu, where he befriends older trainees who were selected years earlier but couldn't get placed due to bureaucratic delays. The trainers, led by the corrupt Inspector Muthupandi and his aide Eshwaramurthy, mistreat the older trainees, leading to tensions and violence within the school. Arivu stands up against the corruption and abuse, earning the respect of his fellow trainees and a love interest from a constable named Eeshwari.
