In 1950s Madras, director Ayya struggles with his strained relationship with film star T.K. Mahadevan, who has risen to superstardom despite their ego clashes. When financiers agree to produce a new horror film based on Ayya's mother, Mahadevan takes creative control and reworks the script to suit his image. As filming begins, tensions rise between Ayya and Mahadevan, leading to a dramatic shift in power dynamics.
