Full Plot
In a small village, a male actor named Kalyanam performs female roles in a traditional drama troupe led by Thandavam, a drunkard and the troupe's founder. Kalyanam's mother pressures him to leave his role, but he refuses, fueled by his ambition to lead the troupe himself. Despite Thandavam's cruelty, Kalyanam finds support from fellow members and eventually falls in love with one of them, Jegathambiga, who encourages him to be true to himself.
